Situated in the village of the Pludds above Ruardean in the Forest of Dean,the hall is a simple wooden structure as can be seen from the photograph, and is surrounded by beautiful countryside. It features a good sized car park and has disabled access. We are ideally situated for access to the leisure activities of the forest.
Comprising the following facilities:-
1) A large function room of 105 sq.meters, with a standing capacity of 150 persons standing and 100 seated. This hall has a wooden floor. Five electric heaters provide more than adequate heating.
2) An entrance lobby of 45 sq.meters with a seating capacity of 35 seated and 45 standing.
3) A small committee room measuring 30 sq.meters with a capacity of 25 standing and 20 seated. This room has recently been refurbished and is now a comfortable carpeted room suitable for small meetings or other purposes for smallish groups.
We have 20 tables and in excess of 100 seats available.
Toilet facilities include those for the disabled.
These include a hot water supply, four ring oven, gas rings as well as a small microwave. A tea urn is also provided.
The Committee is very active and under the stewardship of the previous chairman and with the help of various financial awards has completed the renovation of the exterior of the building as well as the above mentioned committee room.
The renovation of the exterior involved the renewal of several joists and flooring in some areas, the replacement of cladding and insulation. Double glazing has been fitted and fire doors have been renewed.
Our next task is to refurbish the kitchen.
